Mindfulness is the ability to increase one's capacity to be present.  As we become more present, we have a deeper awareness of what is possible.  MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) is an evidence based form of mindfulness that focuses on "mind-body approaches to counteract stress, establish greater balance of body and mind, and stimulate well-being and healing".²

What is MBSR?

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) is an 8 week experiential and evidence based course created by Jon Kabat-Zinn to help participants feel less pain, less stress, more at ease and present in their lives.  During these 8 weeks online, we dive into different topics.³

Week 4: Stress

Week 5: Making space for choices and responses

Some of the benefits of mindfulness...

A lot of research has been done on the effects of Mindfulness.  One study over 8 weeks showed that leaders who practiced formally every day for 10 minutes or more, displayed higher scores on agility, empathy, perspective taking and resilience.  Another study showed that participants in the Trier Stress Test, who had some experience meditating, had a faster recovery of their blood pressure.  Furthermore, participants who were experienced meditators had lower stress levels, less stress hormones (cortisol) and even quicker recovery time.¹

With greater self awareness, one knows that what's at the surface is just a symptom of what's below the surface.  This brings forth an increased ability to cope and react more effectively in stressful situations, inner calm and more self confidence.

What to expect?

This is a weekly course, held online via Zoom.
It will be for 8 weeks, plus one retreat class.

It is interactive, meaning you will need to have your camera on. 

It is a live course, and the weekly sessions will not be recorded to protect the psychological safety and confidentiality of all participants. 

As it is online, you will need a stable internet connection.

You will receive a coursebook and guided mediations. 

You will create your own personal practice. 

Small, online classes in a supportive environment. 

Individual consultations, as necessary, with the facilitator.

You will need a computer with a camera and a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. 

You will also need an exercise mat or yoga mat, pen and paper and an open mind.

The weekly Mindfulness course will be on Sundays from 15h-17h CET / 9-11am EST / 17:00-19:00 GST.   
The weekly Parental Mindfulness course will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12h30-13h30 CET or

14:30-15:30 GST.

Payment

After you complete the form, I will contact you for a brief intake call.  Then, I will send out the invoice and zoom link. The investment:
Mindfulness course: 200 euros
Parental Mindfulness: 150 euros 

Terms & Conditions:

1. The offer of products or services relating to courses or other activities is valid as long as the minimum number of 6 participants has been reached and can be adapted or withdrawn at any time by Angela Vitiello. Angela Vitiello cannot be held liable for the non-availability of a service. If an offer has a limited period of validity or is made subject to conditions, this will be explicitly stated in the offer.

2. To register online for an activity organized by Angela Vitiello, the Customer completes the registration form on Google Forms. The Customer will then receive a confirmation email with details on scheduling an individual conversation. The Customer will receive a final email with payment details a month prior to the start of the course which will serve as a final step in the registration process. 

3. Unless specified otherwise in the order form or confirmation, payment must be paid via bank transfer to the indicated bank account number on the invoice within 14 days from the date on the invoice.

4. All prices mentioned on the website are expressed in EURO, always including VAT (unless explicitly stated otherwise) and all other taxes or duties the Customer is obliged to pay.

5. Customers have the right to withdraw from an activity, service, or product ordered online within 14 days after they made their order through the online registration. No refunds will be given if the Customer cancels his/her participation after the initial 14 days after purchase or if the activity (delivery of any product or service) has already started.

6. A listed participant who does not start in (no-show) or withdraws from (and unduly cancels) an activity is not entitled to reimbursement of the fee.

7. In order to register for a course organized by Angela Vitiello, it is important that the Customer is in good mental and physical health. The Customer is required to fill out details about his/her mental and/or physical health that may be counter-indications of participation in the registration Google form for the relevant activity. Angela Vitiello reserves the right to refuse the participation of the Customer based on this information.

8.    By agreeing with these terms and conditions, the Customer acknowledges that the courses organized by Angela Vitiello are not intended as a substitute for any medical or psychological treatment by a medical doctor or psychotherapist.

9.    By agreeing with these terms and conditions, the Customer acknowledges that the course is a pilot course organized in order to receive a final certification by Angela Vitiello. It means that one session of the course will be partially recorded (only the teacher will be visible). The recording will be used for certification purposes only and deleted as soon as the certification procedure is completed.
